Dr. Corey Schumer
Hello, my name is Dr. Corey Schumer. I come from the Midwest and grew up in the city of Farmington Hills Michigan. I am an avid golfer and dedicated family man. I moved my family to Tucson in April 2010 and fell in love with the city mostly because of the people I have met. Since arriving in Tucson my wife Jennifer, and children Kayla and Jacob, have developed friends and I have created a great network of health care providers to facilitate the best possible care for my patients. I attended Wayne State University and achieved Pre-Bachelors acceptance to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. This allowed me to finish school in fewer years than normal, and start providing quality services to my community. After obtaining my degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery, I began working in Detroit. In Detroit, I was able to treat an underprivileged community while enhancing my skills with very difficult and medically compromised patients.
I come from a family of dental professionals. My father is a general dentist in Michigan and my brother is a general dentist in New York. Growing up I had the privilege to watch my father provide dentistry to his patients, and the joy and comfort he brought them. This is what inspired me to enter the dental profession, making people smile. I have many goals I would like to accomplish while being your dentist. My main goal is to provide quality dental care in a relaxed and inviting environment. I want to educate you, my patient, and make sure you understand why treatment is recommended and when it is recommended. I strive to set myself apart from other dentists in the communication and comfort of my patients. Many people do not know that dentistry has evolved from restorative (fixing after something breaks), to preventive (providing dentistry to avoid future problems). I want to educate you about dentistry in ways you may not have experienced in the past, and work as a team to provide you with the knowledge to achieve a healthy mouth.

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, but moved to Tucson in 1991. I have enjoyed working in various fields, always making people smile, which finally led me to a career in dentistry. I attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in 2007 as a certified dental assistant. I interned at this office and was hired after graduating, and have spent the past nine years in the front office gaining knowledge of insurance billing and coding and scheduling, while working with patients.
I really enjoy working with the public, and making patients feel comfortable and happy. Our team works really hard to achieve a common goal: making our patients smile!
Aside from being a practice manager, I enjoy spending time with my family.

Hi, my name is Kayla. I have been in the dental field for three years, working in the_ front office and helping the back office as needed. I enjoy working and continuing to learn here at Dr. Schumer’s office. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my kids, running and swimming.

Business Office Manager
Two years ago I joined the wonderful team of Schumer Dental as the office business manager. My main responsibilities include making sure the business side of the practice runs smoothly and efficiently. I enjoy working with such a professional staff who are dedicated to giving the best dental care possible and who really care about their patients. I am a native of Arizona and attended the University of Arizona where I earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. I have two beautiful children Alyssa and Damian and love being a mother and spending as much time traveling and sharing experiences with them.
Wendy Harding
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
I have been a dental hygienist since 2001. I love working with my patients to help them achieve good oral health. I decided to get involved in dentistry because as a child and youth, we did not see the dentist unless a tooth hurt. I have had a lot of the procedures that we do. I can empathize with my patients when they need treatment. I really do understand the apprehension that can sometimes occur when in the dental chair.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 20 years. We have a son & a daughter. I love taking a big family vacation every summer. We always go to where there is water! I also love horses. I have an Arabian & we love to trail ride. I like being outside & love the winters here in AZ.

Born and raised in Nogales, I graduated from Nogales High School in 2009. Shortly after, I moved to Tucson where I started school at Carrington College and graduated as a dental assistant. At Dr. Schumer’s office, I assist with patient care and help out at the front desk when needed. I have been in the dental field for 10 years and I aspire to carry on many more joyful years of making patients happy. On my time off, I like to spend time with my husband Victor, our three dogs and my wonderful family.
